For the Light Ceremony Space at 2017’s Amsterdam Dance Event, Children of the Light created an installation in which a single light floats through a dark space, guiding the ambient sounds from the performers in the room.
The installation consisted of a single bright LED light and two DMX-controlled electric motors; one winch for vertical movement and one rotor for circular movements. For this installation I created the control-software as well as a custom authoring tool to create choreographies for the movement and brightness of the light.
